Walk Don't Destroy
Written by Heather Woodfield
Wednesday, 26 September 2007
For the past two years, New Yorkers have admirably answered the call in the battle to save Brooklyn from Bruce Ratner's "Atlantic Yards" land grab, by helping to raise a total of more than $150,000 in the first two WALK DON'T DESTROY fundraisers. Next month, Develop Don't Destory Brooklyn (DDDB) needs your help to raise the bar with WALK DON'T DESTROY 3.

This is a crucial time in the fight against "Atlantic Yards." DDDB is funding two strong court cases that can turn the tide away from Ratner and toward real community development in Brooklyn. Your help is needed to continue to raise awareness and funds for the legal fight, neighborhood outreach and all the other critical tasks in this battle for a better Brooklyn.

Please join DDDB again, on Sunday, October 14th, at 1 p.m., for WALK DON'T DESTROY 3. The ability to challenge Ratner's boondoggle in the courts depends almost entirely on your donations and the funds you collect from your friends and neighbors.

Registering today for WALK DON'T DESTROY 3 will take you fewer than five minutes. Just click here to get started.

If you need help, the DDDB simple User Guide will walk you through the steps for creating a personalized donation page so your friends can give online donations.

It takes less than five minutes to register, so please do it today.

For more information, to volunteer, or to become a sponsor, please send an email to walkathon -at- dddb.net (replace -at- with @) or call 718-362-4784.  DDDB can also provide paper registration materials for anyone without internet access.
