After almost a year of campaigning, the Iowa Caucuses are finally here. The results of the caucus will dramatically affect the direction of many of the candidates campaigns and some will undoubtedly drop out by the weekend.

A number of formal and informal gatherings are being held in NYC on caucus night to watch the results come in and some are listed below. The caucuses start at 7pm CST (8 pm local) and although the process is a bit complex, many will be done in less than an hour. We e-mailed the Biden, Richardson, Dodd and Gravel campaigns but received no response. If you know of any other caucus-night events, write us at info -at- dfnyc.org so we can list it.

Drinking Liberally: 7pm at Rudy's on 9th Avenue at 44th Street. Returns will be viewed in a heated tent in the backyard.

Hillary Clinton: 6pm at her NYC Campaign Headquarters - 420 Lexington Ave. #3030

John Edwards: 6pm at the Triple Crown, 7th Avenue between 27th and 28th

Dennis Kucinich: 6:30pm Meetup - visit denniskucinich.meetup.com/326 for the location and to sign up.

Barack Obama (ObamaNYC): 7:30pm at The Irish Rogue Pub and Restaurant, 356 West 44th Street

Barack Obama (Harlem4Obama): 6pm at The Moca Lounge, 2210 Frederick Douglass Boulevard

For those averse to crowds and/or cold temperatures, Brave New Films and The Young Turks will be joining forces on the web to bring live video coverage of all the drama. Cenk Uygur will be joined by co-hosts Ben Mankiewicz, and Wes Clark, Jr. as well as an army of guests, including Adam Green, Sam Seder, Faiz Shakir, Matt Stoller, Sean Paul-Kelly, Todd Beeton, Katrina vanden Heuvel, and others. Starting at 7PM at http://bravenewfilms.org/election
