740 Park Avenue (at 71st Street)

Disclaimer: At this time, DFNYC is not aware whether this event has or needs a permit and who is organizing it. There will certainly be secret service protection of the area because Cheney will be there. DFNYC's Merle McEldowney plans to attend and you can contact her for more information: merle.mceldowney (at) gmail.com

Dick Cheney is holding a fund raiser for Vito Fosella at the home of Julia and David Koch. The Koch family lives at 710 Park Avenue. This is still in the planning stages, but as of now people will be meeting on Park Avenue and 71st.

Tell any of your friends that might be interested in joining. It is fascinating that Fosella is willing to connect himself with Cheney. He should raise some money. Lets use it as a way to raise awaeness of who Vito Fosella is.

As far as David Koch goes, he's an interesting guy - one of the world's richest men and a huge contributor to the conservative Cato Institute. His fortune comes from Koch Industries.

From Mother Jones - March 5, 2001:

Koch Industries, a conglomerate with major oil and gas holdings, is the second-largest privately-held company in the United States. It is also the recipient of the largest civil fine ever imposed on a corporation for violating federal environmental laws. During the 1990s, the company's leaky pipelines were responsible for more than 300 oil spills in five states, prompting a penalty of $30 million. In 1996, a faulty pipeline caused an explosion outside of Dallas in which two teenagers were killed. In a lawsuit related to the deaths, a trial court returned a judgement of $376.69 million against the company.
