10/27: Letter Writing For Obama!
Written by Josh Silverstein

A message from Beth on the UES:

Hello, Fellow Obama Supporter!

Do you regret not being able to work for Obama in a swing state? Do you secretly wish that NY was a little more red so that your time, effort and vote could have a bigger impact?

Well, despair no more! Come to my apartment on Monday, October 27th and write letters to Obama supporters in swing states asking them to work hard on their get out the vote drives. We will encourage them and thank them – and so something so in those oh-so-critical swing states.

I'll run the party from 10am until 2:00 – come for any or all parts of it. Please, just let me know approximately when you are planning on coming – that way, you won't have sandwiches for breakfast or granola for lunch. Bring friends, too! And, your charged cell phone – if we run out of address, we can make calls.

So, please, join me, let's work for change and have fun doing it!

Beth

Help Obama w/Your Laptop: Data Entry of New Voters in Pennsylvania

The good news grassroots volunteers registered over 20,000 people in the swing state of Pennsylvania. But now all this data needs to be entered into VoteBuilder, so data entry volunteers are urgently needed. An Obama supporter in NYC has generously donated conference room space, so if got your own laptop, wireless-enabled, please join this project so that the Obama campaign can reach out to new voters in Pennsylvania. The polls look good in PA, by McCain and Palin are working the state hard, so we need to run a good ground game.

Where: Office of Jack Hildary, conference room with wifi, 45 W 25th St., 11 Floor.

When: Weekdays between 9:30 am to 6 pm.

Bring: Wifi-enabled laptop. (Most laptops made in the past 5 years are wifi-enabled.)

RSVP Required: There is limited space, so for planning purposes, please email Jack and Negin if you can be there: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Tues & Wed: Letter Writing for Obama with DFNYC
Written by Josh Silverstein
Thursday, 16 October 2008
More Letter writing for Obama - Join us Tues and/or Wed, Oct. 21-22

We will be writing letters to progressive Democrats in swing states (members of Democracy for America) asking them to volunteer for Obama!

Several key swing states will determine who wins this election. Democracy for America (the organization started by Gov. Howard Dean after his presidential campaign) has members all across the country. We have lists from DFA of their members in swing states, so we will be writing handwritten letters to these DFAers encouraging them to join Obama's "Neighbor to Neighbor" program, http://barackobama.com/n2n.

We will provide letter writing materials for you and sample letters.

This Tuesday and Wednesday, we are writing to DFAers in northern Virginia, so we will also be suggesting that they volunteer for Obama through Judy Feder's campaign. Judy is a great Democrat running for Congress in the 10th District. Volunteering for Judy helps get a stronger majority in Congress, the Senate (Mark Warner is on the ballot in VA) and the White House!

Time: Tuesday, October 21 & Wednesday October 22 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Host: Carlos Dennis

Contact Phone: 646 221 6635
