Hudson Valley Impeachment Group and Ray McGovern Meet with Representative Hall: A meeting was held between constituents and Congressman John Hall in D.C. on November 15, to ask Congressman John Hall to call for impeachment hearings to begin. He indicated that he will write to the members of the Judiciary Committee, but has yet to decide contents of that letter. We will know by the first week in December. DFNYC has joined the Hudson Valley Impeachment Group in asking John Hall to support impeachment. DFNYC supported John Hall's election, and we should call him to let him know how we feel about impeachment. (202) 225-5441

ACLU/SC calls for impeachment of President Bush and VP Cheney: The ACLU of Southern California issued an announcement on November 16th in favor of impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney for High Crimes and Misdemeanors arising out of their abuse of power and numerous violations of the Constitution.

Representative Robert Wexler from Florida has been calling for hearings in the Judiciary Committee.

Where is Rep. Nadler?: Jerrold Nadler is a senior member of Judiciary Committee and is the Chairman of the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties Subcommittee. He voted to table Congressman Kucinich's H. Res. 333 to impeach VP Dick Cheney. After the motion to table was defeated, he then voted it back to the Judiciary where it could die.

Judiciary Chairman John Conyers stated on Wednesday evening, November 14th that the Judiciary Committee is discussing having hearings.
