On May 2, 2008, workers and management at Flor de Mayo reached a
settlement and Justice Will Be Served has ended its boycott
of their two restaurants. If you patronize one or both of Flor de Mayo's
two locations on the Upper West Side (484 Amsterdam Ave and 2651 Broadway),
we encourage you thank the management for supporting fair treatment of
their workers.
Meanwhile boycotts continue at Ollie's and Saigon Grill.
Nail salon workers are also starting to come forward.
Although the National Labor Relations Board issued a decision in February
ordering Saigon Grill to rehire its 28 delivery workers and pay back wages,
no action has yet been taken. Therefore, Josephine Lee of the Chinese Staff
& Workers' Association is urging New Yorkers to continue to boycott
the two Saigon Grill locations.
