Volunteer Canvassing for Steve Behar in Queens this Sat & Sun

Many of you know Steve Behar, one of our DFNYC-endorsed candidates for city council.  He hosts our Bayside Linkup and has done a lot of volunteer trips for progressive Democratic candidates at all levels of government.

Steve's race is very important, not just because he is a great guy, but also because he is very different than the other candidates in the 19th District.  Steve is a solid progressive who has taken a clear stand on issues that matter to us (responsible development, civil rights, marriage equality, Clean Money Clean Elections), and he is not funded by real estate developers and other lobbyists.  This is very important - we need to get candidates elected to the city council who are not compromised by their campaign contributors.  Steve's campaign has been grassroots-powered and grassroots-funded, and his leadership in the council will reflect this.  But only if we can get him elected!

Please volunteer for Steve Behar this Weekend!  You can volunteer for Norman Siegel as well!

Canvassing voters is the most effective, efficient way to help Steve get the votes and win!  This is the last weekend before election day, so voter contact is important.

Where:  Meet at Behar Campaign Headquarters:  40-13 Bell Blvd (@40th Ave), 2nd Floor, in Bayside.  Right near the Bayside LIRR stop and the Q13 & Q31 buses.  If you are driving, you can find street parking nearby the office.

When:  This Saturday and Sunday - meet at 10:30am at campaign HQ. (Or later if 10:30am is not possible for you.)

The Plan:  At the campaign office, campaign literature and walk lists will be handed out and volunteers will be given talking points to discuss with voters.  Volunteers will be dispatched in groups.  Also, Steve Behar and Norman Siegel have endorsed each other, and Steve's campaign will have Siegel literature as well, so you can also hlep get more votes for Norman.
