Contact your council member and ask that he or she co-sponsors and votes to pass Res.75 which urges the U.S. Congress to pass HR676. The United States National Health Insurance Act (H.R. 676), reintroduced this year by Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) establishes a single payer health care system by expanding and improving the current Medicare program creating publicly financed, privately delivered health care for all. The goal of the legislation is to insure that all Americans will have guaranteed access to the highest quality and cost effective health care regardless of one's employment, income or health care status.
