 and they need volunteers: ~~~ Greater NYC for Change will be conducting a c
 anvassing and tabling event at the Caribbean Day Parade on Labor Day, Septe
 mber 2, on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn. Three million people will attend th
 e parade, the biggest in the United States. We have a great opportunity to 
 educate people on the health care exchange opening in NY on October 1, regi
 ster voters in advance of this fall’s elections, and gather more volunteers
  for bus trips, phone banks, and other efforts to educate the public about 
 the key issues facing our country.\n\nThree Shifts:  Noon-2pm, 2pm-4pm, and
  4pm-6pm.\n\n\n(Everyone is welcome to stay for more than one, as many peop
 le have in previous years)\n\n\nThe parade is a great opportunity to dance 
 to Calypso & Soca, and to feast on lots of tasty West Indian food. Lots of 
 amazing costumes, too! \n\n\nVolunteers can sign up at this link.\n\n\n \n
