  event tomorrow, (Sat. 11/16/13) to organize around stopping the "school-to
 -prison pipeline" - the practice of harsh disciplinary measures for public 
 school students. \n\n\n~~~~ \n\n\nAre you concerned about school discipline
  policies and practices? Passionate about finding restorative solutions? In
 terested to hear about what parents and students are doing to bring about c
 hange? Come to the Bronx School Justice Report Back – a fascinating look at
  how parents, students, and community allies frustrated by the high rates o
 f school arrests, suspensions and summonses in the Bronx successfully petit
 ioned the NYC Department of Education and NYPD School Safety Division to be
 gin making drastic reductions in school policing in the Bronx. Members of t
 he Bronx School Justice coalition will share back key accomplishments made 
 in the past year, including a remarkable 56% drop in Bronx school arrests i
 n just one school year. We will also host workshops on best practices and c
 hallenges of implementing restorative practices in schools; the New York Ci
 ty Discipline Code; safety transfers, and our methods for bringing together
  a broad cross-section of different community stakeholders to the table.\n\
