Our December linkup is always a time to look back at what we've accomplished and ahead at what is to come.  2013 was a momentous year in progressive politics, and DFNYC and Democracy for America were involved every step of the way.  We helped elect many fine progressive candidates locally and pushed our list of great causes.  But this year was only the beginning!  Now it is time to look to 2014, which will be the most momentous and important year politically in our lives.   Not to mention it will be the 10th anniversary both DFNYC and DFA!  We have to take our call for progressive change to the state and national levels.  2014 is the year we make the real change!

As a first step, please support our new mayor-elect Bill De Blasio's call for a bill in Albany to raise taxes on the wealthy to pay for a program that would provide for every child in this city to have the right to Universal pre-K.  Quality early childhood education is critical to the future of our society.  DFNYC will be involved in the push for this in Albany, the cornerstone of the De Blasio agenda.  Please click on the below link and add your name to the list of New Yorkers who demand that Albany make Universal pre-K a reality:

We will discuss this and all of our plans for the new year at our December linkup/meetup.  This is a special holiday get together at the home of one of our members, Claudia Kowalchyk, in Union Square and you are all invited.  Refreshments and food will be served.
Please join hosts Tracey and Richard and guest host Claudia:
