Democracy for NYC (DFNYC) is committed to the ideals espoused by Democracy for America, the organization founded by Howard Dean, and the national network of local coalition groups dedicated to the same.
We work both locally and nationally to ensure that fiscally responsible and socially progressive candidates are elected at all levels of government. We develop innovative ways to advocate for the issues that matter to our members and support legislation which has a positive effect in our communities. We promote transparency and ethical practices in government. We engage people in the political process and give them the tools to organize, communicate, mobilize, and enact change on the local, state, and national level.

DL21C's 21st Annual Holiday Party is in JUST ONE WEEK! We can't wait, can you?!?
This year's Holiday Bash will be held on Thursday, December 19 at R BAR starting at 7 pm!
Located on the Bowery, it's sure to be a good time. There will be specially priced happy hour drinks from 7-9 pm, plus lots of late-night fun, so make sure to RSVP and join us for the event of the season! It's been a whirlwind of a year in City politics....Let's celebrate all the work done in 2013 to elect some amazing NYC leaders, and look forward to the inauguration of our first Democratic Mayor in 20 years....and get ready for what will surely be an exciting year in national and state politics here in New York! We will be joined by local, state and federal elected officials, as well as civic leaders, and lots of special guests.
