About Democracy for NYC
Democracy for NYC (DFNYC) is committed to the ideals espoused by Democracy for America, the organization founded by Howard Dean, and the national network of local coalition groups dedicated to the same.
We work both locally and nationally to ensure that fiscally responsible and socially progressive candidates are elected at all levels of government. We develop innovative ways to advocate for the issues that matter to our members and support legislation which has a positive effect in our communities. We promote transparency and ethical practices in government. We engage people in the political process and give them the tools to organize, communicate, mobilize, and enact change on the local, state, and national level.

This Sunday, Color of Change PAC will be hosting a brunch and Text-a-Thon for the NYC community at Workville, 1412 Broadway New York, NY. Brunch and mimosas will be provided. All you need to bring is your laptop and a passion for creating real impact in this year’s elections. From Color of Change: This election we have a 50% chance of taking back the senate and countless opportunities to oust Prosecutors who won their seat with only a few hundred votes. From now until Election Day 2016, we're doing everything we can to maximize voter outreach in Black communities and leverage our power to make a real difference in elections across the country. This is a pivotal Black Battleground State Text-a-Thon to contact Black voters in key races and help motivate them to vote. Will you join us? |
