Democracy for New York City congratulates Mayor-elect Bill De Blasio, his team and his family on a historic victory and a great campaign. Our members enthusiastically endorsed our new mayor early on and helped him through the summer and fall. It is truly the dawn of a new era in New York City and we are proud to have been a part of the campaign, and we are excited to be involved in what is to come! We look forward to working with Bill on his agenda, and we will join in his fight for every citizen to be treated with dignity and respect, and to have an equal chance to participate in our democracy and live the american dream.
We also congratulate our entire slate of DFNYC endiorsed candidates who also won last night, including our friends Tish James and Scott Stringer, who are going to be a great Public Advoate and Comptroller respectively.
