Democracy for NYC (DFNYC) is committed to the ideals espoused by Democracy for America, the organization founded by Howard Dean, and the national network of local coalition groups dedicated to the same.

We develop innovative ways to advocate for the issues that matter to our members and support legislation which has a positive effect in our communities.  We promote transparency and ethical practices in government.  We engage people in the political process and give them the tools to organize, communicate, mobilize, and enact change on the local, state, and national level.

Final Presidential Debate watch parties Monday night!

The third and final Presidential debate is Monday night!  Focusing on foreign policy, it figures to be quite interesting.  DFNYC is co-sponsoring a watch party in Brooklyn and there are many other watch parties around town.  Here are a few:

When:  Monday, October 22, 9 p.m.

Monday is the third and final debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney, focusing on foreign policy.  There will be many watch parties taking place around town.  Here are a few:

The debate starts at 9 p.m.  The conversation, and the beer. start flowing by eight!  Come out and support President Obama in his final ever debate!
